Email us at office@bucksrailcentre.org with the reference ‘Classic Car Weekend tickets’ \nSunday 27th August: Sunday Club Day\nThis is a Steaming Day with a little extra something as we have will have the Rover Car Club here for their annual rally\, plus we invite several other car clubs to come and show off heir cars too! \nMonday 28th August: Pre-1988 Classic Vehicle Rally!  \nOwners of any pre-88 vehicles are invited to come and exhibit their vehicles at our biggest rally of the year for £6! Please pre-register if you want to exhibit your vehicle by emailing: office@bucksrailcentre.org or by emailing us this registration form. Cars\, motorbikes\, vans\, buses\, fire engines\, bicycles… any pre-1988 vehicle will be welcome! Steam train rides and all the fun of our heritage railway will be on offer as well of course. \nVisitors on Monday can enjoy dozens of classic vehicles on display\, plus all the sights and sounds of our heritage railway: unlimited steam train rides\, Railway Museum\, Miniature and Model Railways\, Visitor Centre with cafe and gift shop\, plus everything else a 25-acre working heritage railway has to offer! DESCRIPTION:Due to adverse weather conditions the Pride of Ownership event was cancelled and will now be held on Tuesday August 1st. The details will remain the same so if you have booked then no need to do anything\, just turn up. \nIf you didn’t book then please let Jack or Clive know and they will add you to the entrants. \nOur annual Pride of Ownership event will be held starting at 7pm on Tuesday 1st August at the St Johns Social Club in Stone near Thame where we get to display our clean and polished cars for others to enjoy. \nEntry is £5 to cover costs and prizes. DESCRIPTION:We now have eleven cars and twenty-one people booked on the trip.\n\nSummary of the arrangements as follows:-\nTuesday.\nArrive Tuesday 30th May in time for dinner at the hotel. The hotel have promised dedicated parking for MGs.\n \nWednesday\nWe will have a scenic drive around the Lincolnshire Wolds.\nLunch will be a buffet at the Royal Oak “Splash” Pub.\nAfter lunch we will visit Cadwell Park Circuit. Here you can spectate the motorbike track day and then during their lunch we will have an MG parade around the circuit.\nAnother drive in the afternoon with tea and plum bread at a Water Mill.\nDinner at the hotel in a private room.\n \nThursday\nWe will visit the Aviation Heritage Centre. Here we should have dedicated parking to get good pictures. There is a very good museum\, and the Lancaster will be demonstrating taxy at 11.00.\nLunch will be either at the centre cafe or at the next venue.\nThe last visit is to the Micro car museum. A great collection of bubble cars which is usually only open at weekends but will open for us that afternoon.

DESCRIPTION:December Club Night and AMGC Quiz \nTuesday December 6th is our next Club Night\, when we will be celebrating the coming of Christmas and enjoying some fun in the form of our annual quiz.  This year we are inviting the other members of St John’s to enter a team (or two?).  We are asking that all members attending bring along some party food for your team to enjoy during the Quiz night break. There will be prizes for the winning team. Remember that we are welcome to bring in food items but all drinks must be purchased at the bar. \nAs it is likely to be a busy night\, we are asking if you could please arrive promptly by 19.30 so you can organise ourselves into teams (if you haven’t done so already) and we will then quickly take any club notices and complete the admin for the quiz for a prompt start at 20.00.  Please feel free to wear your festive Christmas jumpers and to bring your choice of Christmas nibbles along to help with the celebrations.  \nFor the quiz\, teams can be up to 6 members.  There will be 8 rounds of questions that I will explain before we start\, and a small traditional prize for the winning team.  So please make every effort to attend this fun event if you can.

DESCRIPTION:Remember that this months club night is the annual quiz and is being organised by a couple of our newer members\, David and Julie Lloyd \nIt will be held at The Lion and we will be starting a little earlier than usual to give us a bit more time for this event. \nWill be providing a buffet meal and treats this year so no need to bring any food with you. There will be a small entry cost of £5.00 per person which will include the buffet and a strip of raffle tickets. \nDon’t forget that we have a raffle at this event and we would welcome any contributions you can make towards the prizes. \nTimings will be 7.00pm for a 7.30 start to the quiz. \nThe buffet will be served at the halfway point and we should be all done by 10.30pm. \nWe will of course be inviting neighbouring clubs to send a team as long as they promise not to win this time!!

DESCRIPTION:This year we are going to the Isle of Wight and we have 22 members in 11 cars joining us for the event. \nAmongst the activities planed we will be visiting the IOW Steam Railway\, enjoying their Cheese and Cider Event\, and a visit to Osbourne House one of Queen Victoria’s favourite places to be. \nWe will also be joined for some of the time by members of the IOW MG Club who will take us down some country lanes ending up with an afternoon tea. \nWe have restaurants arranged for both Friday and Saturday night and there will be free time for members to do their own thing too if they so wish. \nFor full details and timings click here for the itinerary \n

SUMMARY:The Blackthorn Classic Car Show 2018
DESCRIPTION:The third Blackthorn Classic Car Show 2108 takes place on Sunday 2ndSeptember. Once again we are expecting well in excess of 250 exhibitors with well over 120 already registered. While exhibitors can just turn up on the day\, we do suggest that you register in advance to get the full benefits of the day which include publication of your entry in the programme\, eligibility for any a number of prizes provided by our sponsors\, reserved parking and last but certainly not least a commemorative Show Plate. There is no charge for exhibitors although we do circulate a charity bucket to exhibitors during the day. \nThere is much besides the exciting display of rare and exotic vehicles together with a large number of vehicles which many of us grew up with and remember with fondness. There is an exciting range of trade and craft stands\, the ever popular BCCS – in this case the Blackthorn Classic Cake (and tea) Stall \, childrens entertainments\, a good choice of food concessions\, the Piston Head licensed bar\, ‘The Real Rally Experience’ kindly provided and operated by Major Motor Sports and the beautiful  Gavioli Fairground Organ kindly provided  for the occasion by ‘Blackthorn boy’ Les Harris. \nThe BCCS 2018 is open to members of the public from 11.00am until 5.00pm (family ticket £10) Exhibitors whether registered or not are asked to have arrived by 11.00. \nAll funds raised will go to The Hummingbird Cancer therapy and Support Centre and for local community projects. SUMMARY:August Drive and Dine Night
DESCRIPTION:This month our Club Night will move temporarily from the Five Arrows to The Betsy Wynne at Swanbourne. \nWe will be meeting from 6:00pm onwards for a drink and a natter and then at around 7:00pm after being given our route map will go on a 45 minute circular drive through the Buckingham Countryside ending up back at the Betsy Wynne for a meal which you will need to pre order before you go on the drive. \nLast year this event was a great success and will no doubt become a permanent fixture in our calendar for years to come. \n   \n\nHere are a couple of pictures from last years event.

Adrian has organised the entries so that we can all park together\, if you still would like to attend please get in touch via the contact us page.\n\nThe Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally is organised by The Game Club to raise money for local charitable causes.
