DESCRIPTION:Remember that this months club night is the annual quiz and is being organised by a couple of our newer members\, David and Julie Lloyd \nIt will be held at The Lion and we will be starting a little earlier than usual to give us a bit more time for this event. \nWill be providing a buffet meal and treats this year so no need to bring any food with you. There will be a small entry cost of £5.00 per person which will include the buffet and a strip of raffle tickets. \nDon’t forget that we have a raffle at this event and we would welcome any contributions you can make towards the prizes. \nTimings will be 7.00pm for a 7.30 start to the quiz. \nThe buffet will be served at the halfway point and we should be all done by 10.30pm. \nWe will of course be inviting neighbouring clubs to send a team as long as they promise not to win this time!!

SUMMARY:The Blackthorn Classic Car Show 2018
DESCRIPTION:The third Blackthorn Classic Car Show 2108 takes place on Sunday 2ndSeptember. Once again we are expecting well in excess of 250 exhibitors with well over 120 already registered. While exhibitors can just turn up on the day\, we do suggest that you register in advance to get the full benefits of the day which include publication of your entry in the programme\, eligibility for any a number of prizes provided by our sponsors\, reserved parking and last but certainly not least a commemorative Show Plate. There is no charge for exhibitors although we do circulate a charity bucket to exhibitors during the day. \nThere is much besides the exciting display of rare and exotic vehicles together with a large number of vehicles which many of us grew up with and remember with fondness. There is an exciting range of trade and craft stands\, the ever popular BCCS – in this case the Blackthorn Classic Cake (and tea) Stall \, childrens entertainments\, a good choice of food concessions\, the Piston Head licensed bar\, ‘The Real Rally Experience’ kindly provided and operated by Major Motor Sports and the beautiful  Gavioli Fairground Organ kindly provided  for the occasion by ‘Blackthorn boy’ Les Harris. \nThe BCCS 2018 is open to members of the public from 11.00am until 5.00pm (family ticket £10) Exhibitors whether registered or not are asked to have arrived by 11.00. \nAll funds raised will go to The Hummingbird Cancer therapy and Support Centre and for local community projects. SUMMARY:August Drive and Dine Night
DESCRIPTION:This month our Club Night will move temporarily from the Five Arrows to The Betsy Wynne at Swanbourne. \nWe will be meeting from 6:00pm onwards for a drink and a natter and then at around 7:00pm after being given our route map will go on a 45 minute circular drive through the Buckingham Countryside ending up back at the Betsy Wynne for a meal which you will need to pre order before you go on the drive. \nLast year this event was a great success and will no doubt become a permanent fixture in our calendar for years to come. \n   \n\nHere are a couple of pictures from last years event.
