Event page for Karen

Our regular monthly meeting, sometimes featuring a speaker, is on the first Tuesday of every month (except January) at 8 p.m. at The St John’s Sports and Social Club, on the A418 between Stone and Upton. Some of us like to use the excellent local Indian restaurant, Raj Bhuj, before the meeting.

We have an annual three or four night mid-week trip away and in 2024 we went to the Avebury area in Wiltshire.

The event included a fascinating four of Silbury Hill and the Avebury standing stones with a National Trust guide, and a visit to the Atwell Motor Museum, the Wilton Windmill and the Crofton Beam Engine – which, believe it or not, was so interesting many of us went back for a day trip later in the year when the pumping engines were running!
